99ers unemployment extension 2011 is still in the minds of some in Congress, Barbara Lee and Bobby Scott, are two that are trying to push this bill through the House. The 99ers, along with all the unemployed, are now being asked by another Congressman to send their resumes into Congress. The resumes are to go to Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. so he could put a name and face to the unmeployed, which includes the 99ers. This what Jesse Jackson Jr. is asking today. He wants all the unemployed from Connecticut to Alaska and every state in between to send in their resumes so he could put a face and name to the people who need the job creation the most. What about an unemployment extension for the 99ers?
Now, your resume will not be use to get you a job, and he doesn’t even mention the unemployment extension. He wants to fight for job creation for the unemployed. The 99ers would love nothing more than a job, but is this going to happen anytime soon? Maybe the 99ers can remind Congressman Jesse Jackson on their resumes what is needed most right now, that an unemployment extension for the 99ers until this “job creation” comes to be. It would be nice if the call for the unemployed resumes was used as a demonstration for an unemployment extension for the people who need it most the 99ers!

The 99ers have been hearing about job creation for a few years now and they are no closer today than they were two years ago to seeing new jobs created. The unemployment extension would help them right now, but it appears that the Congressman wants to use the unemployed resumes for props when asking for job creation. This is great, job creation does need to happen, but just maybe the Congressman can use the resumes after the need for job creation speech, to put a face on the people who need income today and use them in support of a 99ers unemployment extension?
Jesse Jackson Jr. put this resume call out yesterday, so he is ready to accept as many as you are willing to send him. Maybe if you help him out with his cause, then he may help the 99ers with their urgent need for unemployment benefits? Jesse Jackson Jr. has his heart in the right place, he is working for the 99ers and all the unemployed, but the solution for all of this would be immediate job creation. Then an unemployment extension for the 99ers would not be needed. The key word here is immediate, job creation is a long term process, which could take years to create enough jobs for the 99ers out of work today.
The national unemployment rate is now at 9.4%, which is better than the 9.8% last month. Connecticut is still faring better than some of the other states who are in the double digits for unemployment numbers. The true extent of how all states are fending will start to show with February’s numbers when all the unemployed, including the 99ers will be counted. Up until January 1, 2011, the Labor Bureau of Statistics only counted up to two years, now it will be counting up to five years of unemployment. The 99ers in Connecticut, Ohio, Alaska, Florida, and all the rest of the states will not fall into the abyss and be forgotten in their numbers anymore.
