Apparently, the Arab League is starting to feel surrounded. And in a sense, they are. At least Saudi Arabia pretty much looks that way. The riots that broke out in Tunisia have reportedly prompted protests in Egypt, Oman, Yemen, Libya, and Jordan. Some of the protests were in direct support for Tunisia’s violent rioting over high unemployment, serious economic issues, and food shortages, according to an AP article on Wednesday.
The secretary general of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, admitted during an Arab economic summit that, “The Tunisian revolution is not far from us. The Arab citizen entered an unprecedented state of anger and frustration.”
Arab leaders have decided a $2 billion dollar bailout is in order to soothe increasingly irate citizens – an idea suggested back in 2009 by Kuwaiti ruler Sheik Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah who is calling the present situation an “unprecedented historical crisis.” Apparently, the Arab League has been more focused on assisting with funding for Mosques in controversial U.S. locations, such as New York City, rather than taking care of matters on their own home front, a situation which Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak now says is one of “national security.”
Another region of the world being closely watched due to pending economic disaster is the eurozone. In fact, www.breitbart.com on Wednesday reported that shady investor George Soros warned that the E.U.’s attempts to correct the debt crisis are going to be ineffective because, “The rescue funds should not only be used to grant state credits but also to recapitalize the banking system.”
All of the global financial turmoil has prompted Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown to declare that, “Unemployment is an international time bomb for both developed and developing worlds,” and insist that Obama should fix it, according to www.guardian.co.uk on Tuesday.
Brown is also concerned about high youth unemployment and the growing number who are being hindered in continuing their education. However, he is oddly optimistic that, “the leadership President Obama wants to give the world in fighting youth unemployment is of vital importance.”
The notion that anyone thinks that Obama can fix the global unemployment and education problems when he can’t even fix America’s is absolutely ludicrous. Some wonder if he even wants to fix America’s unemployment disaster.
The only problem with America continuing to “take the lead” as the world always seems to want it to do when catastrophe comminates, is that world leaders also want America to diminish. If they continue encouraging Obama to drag the American government in its present socialist-communist direction, they are going to find out the hard way that they can’t have it both ways.
Eagle Forum president and Christian Phyllis Schafly points to Obamacare as one of several indicators that Obama is pushing America into a, “”type of European-style socialism, where the government controls everything,” according to a www.onenewsnow.com article on Wednesday. She added that, “”President Obama meant what he said when he said he wanted to fundamentally transform America. And I do believe he’s trying to take us into a socialist country while he’s bowing to foreign dictators all over the world.”
While it’s true that the primary reason that America rose to become a great nation is because God honored the focus of the Founding Fathers regarding placing Biblical principles within America’s foundation, limited government and free markets are two other factors that have played into making America a strong nation. And if America is going to remain that way, leaders who are willing to implement fiscal responsibility are also critical.
