Alannah Henke made two critical rebounds and successive shots that sealed the win for the Good Hope Lady Raiders of the Priceville Lady Bulldogs Thursday night. Henke was in the right spot at the right time as she found herself with the ball dropping in her hands and knew right way what she was to do when she laid in two shots giving Good Hope a 37-34 lead.
Jada Beverly was able to drop in the final shot of the game for Priceville, but it was too little too late as the buzzer sounded. With Good Hope holing a 28-24 lead to end the third quarter of play, Jada Beverly drained a 3-pointer for the Bulldogs and pulling her team to within a single point seconds into the final frame.
Kayla Lucas followed Beverly’s shot with a basket underneath and giving the Lady Bulldogs a 29-28 lead. Skylan Thompson promptly reclaimed the lead of the Lady Raiders knocking down a long-range shot herself and Beverly tied the contest connecting on two free throws. Kayla Scott for Good Hope and Lucas swapped baskets keeping the game knotted at 33-33.
Katelyn Bishop led the way for the Lady Raiders with a team-high 13 points, followed by Henke who dropped in 12 points on the night. Thompson and Kacy Thomas each contributed with three points, Scott finished with four points, and Kerry McCluskey chipped in with two points.
Priceville was led by Moore with a game-high 15 points, while Lucas finished with 11 points, Beverly contributed with eight points and Kayla Parton chipped in with two points.
