You settle into your cozy bed in your nice suburban home in middle America, tired and ready for sleep. As you drift off into slumber-land you think of the many things you have to do tomorrow. All seems well as you finally arrive in dreamland, then suddenly a loud authoritarian knock at the front door awakens you. You check the clock in the hallway as you head to answer the door, 3 am. As you reach the door it splinters and crashes open. The cops are all over you ordering you on the ground, they say you’re being arrested for flying the American Flag upside down.
Think this scenario is far-fetched and a product of an over active imagination? Think again! In July 2007, the Kuhns, a North Carolina couple were terrorized by sheriff’s deputy Brian Scarborough, who broke into their house, assaulted them and then arrested the couple. What was their crime you ask? They must have been deadly and dangerous criminals, right? No, they were arrested and harassed for flying an upside down U.S. flag. Law enforcement are now being trained to view people who do such things as potential terrorists. A couple of documents released by Missouri and Virginia have descriptions of potential domestic terrorists that will astound you. If you have not heard of or read these reports you should do so and be informed.
Missouri Information Analysis Center Report (MIAC)
On February 20, 2009, Missouri issued through it’s Department of Public Safety, a report titled “MIAC” Strategic Report: The Modern Militia Movement. This was a secret report describing Americans they equate with radical race hate groups and terrorists. There were no left-leaning ideologies, or Islamic extremist descriptions, only people holding “conservative” or “right-wing” philosophies. It was claimed to have been scrapped shortly after its release due to huge public outcry.
Virginia Terrorism Threat Assessment Report
The manual, discovered by the Virginia News Source, is keen to emphasize that terrorists are not just Middle Eastern. The main focus in this report is domestic terrorism. The manual was distributed by the state of Virginia to state employees to help them recognize potential terrorists. Opening statements in it are as follows:
The purpose of the 2009 Terrorism Threat Assessment is to convey potential terrorism threats affecting the Commonwealth of Virginia. Terrorism, for the purpose of this report, is defined as politically motivated violence or threat of violence designed to coerce action or to prevent others from taking intended actions. While there is no intelligence that indicates terrorists are currently planning attacks in Virginia, the presence of extremists, evidence of trends linked to terrorism, and the abundance of potential targets, suggests that the potential for Virginia to be targeted remains significant.

Benjamin Franklin said: Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. Pennsylvania Assembly: Reply to the Governor, November 11, 1755.—The Papers of Benjamin Franklin, ed. Leonard W. Labaree, vol. 6, p. 242 (1963). Our nation was founded upon Christian principles which include freedom to worship God as each man’s heart leads them. However it is fast becoming a police state as government seeks to lock down Americans in tyranny. They continually push us to the breaking point by taking away our liberties and silencing our voices.
Thomas Jefferson said it is our patriotic duty to dissent. However the government looks at dissent as a form of treason to their agenda. If you are against government intrusion you are now considered a potential terrorist and have something to hide. The freedoms that our founding fathers struggled to give us are now under attack by potential dictators. We can’t allow this to happen, we can’t be the generation that allowed liberty to die in America. We must take a stand and demand that the goverment step back and quit stealing our liberties through things like the Patriot Act.
The government promises to protect us, which is all fine and good. However if being protected means being groped everytime you board an airplane then maybe we should re-evaluate the methods being used to protect us. If protection means being exposed to deadly doses of radiation, then no this Examiner does not see the benefit of getting cancer. Men’s depravity in this country has brought about times of distress for this nation, and it will only get worse if we continue to leave God out of our society.
One closing thought about those who promise us freedom is found in 2 Peter 2:19; They promise them liberty, when they themselves are the slaves of depravity and defilement–for by whatever anyone is made inferior or worse or is overcome, to that [person or thing] he is enslaved.
