Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction in March

by glow bass

If you want to know why Palm Beach County, FL., is ground zero for winter parties, consider the Boca Raton Historical Society’s Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction will take place Friday, March 18- 20. The ninth annual weekend features a roster of top chefs and international vintners, inventive cuisine and a wealth of wine offerings. This year, Pierre Emmanuel Tattinger, Head of Champagne Tattinger from Reims, France, will be among the list of celebrated vintners.

Event highlights include Vintner Dinners hosted in private residences on Friday night followed by the gala Bacchanal & Auction at the Boca Raton Resort & Club on Saturday evening. Guests will dine, dance, bid and “Rock your Bacchus!” amidst a tropical Floridian wonderland, where native flora and fauna will be part of a backdrop for the chef’s reception and multi-course feast.

The evening’s centerpiece will be a live auction, named by the Wine Spectator as one of the top 20 wine auctions in the country, and a silent auction offering wine and lifestyle lots up for bid.
The weekend concludes Sunday afternoon at Mizner Park Amphitheatre with the popular Grand Tasting, an al fresco luncheon featuring the specialties of 30 outstanding local chefs and top vintners.
