After having the number one grossing tour, a chart topping greatest hits release and placing second only to Lady Gaga on Billboard’s top 40 money makers list, 2010 was spectacular for Bon Jovi and before taking a well deserved hiatus later in the year, the band brought their Live 2011 Tour to Toronto last night for its’ first of two shows at The Air Canada Centre.
The set list was similar to what was played here last summer for the Circle Tour, with crowd pleasers You Give Love a Bad Name, Bad Medicine and Livin’ on a Prayer, but this time around and depending on the night, fans will get to hear some new songs that were written for their greatest hits release – The More Things Change, No Apologies, This is Love, This is Life, and What Do You Got.
After close to 3 decades in the business, Bon Jovi proves they still have the recipe for success and as the Valentine’s Day audience sang along to every tune it looks like that will not change anytime soon. You still have another chance to catch them in Toronto tonight before the tour moves on hitting Canadian cities, Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa in the coming months.
