Tonight at the 83rd Academy Awards® Show Paul Franklin, Chris Corbould, Andrew Lockley and Peter Bebb have just won Oscars for Best Achievement in Visual Effects for their work in the film Inception.
In Inception, acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in an original sci-fi actioner that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams.
Other contenders in this category were:
- Alice In Wonderland: Ken Ralston, David Schaub, Carey Villegas and Sean Phillips.
- Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows: Part 1: Tim Burke, John Richardson, Christine Manz and Nicolas Aithadi.
- Hereafter: Michael Owens, Bryan Grill, Stephen Trojansky and Joe Farrell.
- Iron Man 2: Janek Sirrs, Ben Snow, Ged Wright and Daniel Sudick.
This is Paul Franklin and Chris Corbould’s first Academy Award win and second nomination. They were both previously nominated for The Dark Knight in 2009 for the same category.
This is Pete Bebb and Andrew Lockley’s first Academy Award win and nomination.
