Tonight at the 83rd Academy Awards® Show Randy Newman has just won an Oscar for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (original song) for his song “We Belong Together,” featured in the film Toy Story 3.
In Toy Story 3, all the toys are back for fun, but Andy has grown-up and the toys adventure out on a dangerous trek to feel loved again.
- 127 Hours: “If I Rise,” Music by A. R. Rahman and Lyric by Dido and Rollo Armstrong
- Tangled: “I See the Light,” Music by Alan Menken and Lyric by Glenn Slater
- Country Strong: “Coming Home,” Music and Lyric by Tom Douglas, Troy Verges and Hillary Lindsey

This is Randy Newman’s second Academy Award win and twentieth nomination. Randy took home his first Oscar in 2002 for his song “If I Don’t Have You,” featured in the film Monsters Inc.
The Academy Awards® hosted by screen stars Anne Hathaway and James Franco is being telecast around the world from Hollywood’s Kodak Theater.
