“Look at me. Now come a little closer. Turn your head this way. Look right here. Hold it there.” (Captured)
Profound moments are often captured in a matter of seconds. As a photographer gazes at his/her subject, looking at every facet of their movement, he/she waits to capture them in their perfect moment.
Likewise, God searches for that very moment to capture us into His glory, into His safe resting place. His resting place is where all is good and all is right. He seeks to embrace the real us by taking us in through our eyes, our mind and our heart.
Let us walk into God’s perfect setting; the place where He dwells.
He looks us in the eye
My eyes range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Me.
Open your eyes that you may see the wondrous things in my law.
Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.
Lift your eyes to Me who sits enthroned in heaven.
Do not look at what is seen, but what is unseen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
He removes the distractions
Cast your eyes on Me who is worthy to be praised.
Let your mouth be filled with praise.
Let your praise continually be in your mouth.
Praise Me with your whole heart and tell of My marvelous works.
He uses His flash
The light of My face shall shine upon you.
For with Me is the fountain of life. In My light you see light.
I will send My light and My truth. It will guide you and bring you to My Holy Mountain, the place where I dwell.
My light shall shine in your heart and give you the light of the knowledge of My glory displayed in the face of Christ.
He draws us unto Him
I will search you and know your heart. I will try you and know your anxieties.”
This is the place where I will create in you a pure heart.
Wow. Is it not amazing when we allow God to speak to us we are drawn into His place. His Word locks us in because His Word is life. We can see the picture which God paints. It is the picture He desires us to stay in. He calls us to this place where He may gaze into our eyes, our heart and our mind. If we only allow His glory to engulf us like an ocean and overtake us – then will we experience His magnificence, elation and splendor. For it is this place where we truly give Him honor.
So the next time you see someone with a camera looking for the perfect moment to capture, remember God’s perfect moment with you. Remember the picture He sees when seeing you: the ultimate picture, the whole picture of you.
