Greenheart Shop. This eco-fair trade non-profit shop is hosting “Endorphin-palooza” on Wednesday, February 9th from 6pm-8pm. This event is all about indulging your senses with a free organic glass of wine, samplings of organic chocolates, caramels, and truffles as well as with a free stress relieving chair massage. It’s also a great opportunity to do last minute Valentine’s Day shopping, even if it’s a present for your mom.

Black Cloud Gallery. This gallery works to support a diverse range of artists by providing exposure to patrons all around the Chicagoland area. February features an Art Bazaar where each art piece is $200. Over 30 artists contributed to the Bazaar, allowing patrons to pick from more than ninety pieces for purchase. Be sure to check out the Bazaar Friday February 11th from 6pm- 10pm, as Black Cloud participates in 2nd Fridays art crawl in the Chicago Art District. Chicago School of Hot Yoga (CSOHY). On Sunday February 13th, studio manager Jessica Carlin is teaming up with best friend and fellow yogi, Erica Lupiloff. Together they will offer an Anahata (heart chakra) themed yoga workshop. The workshop is designed to gradually move you into deep backbends, while you work to stay present to your heart center. This class, set to world and electronic music, will be challenging and fun while providing greater awareness to your body’s love center. The cost is $25.00 and meets from 11:00am-12:30pm.

The Vagina Monologues at DePaul University. Celebrate VDay at DePaul University, by attending their 12th annual performance of The Vagina Monologues. The Vagina Monologues is a play based on numerous interviews of women led by playwright and activist Eve Ensler. The result is a global dialogue concerning issues of rape and abuse. Continue the dialogue and be empowered to celebrate all the women in your life by attending performances on February 19th and 20th at 8:00pm in DePaul’s Student Center. Tickets cost $10.00. All proceeds benefit Rape Victim Advocates and Apna Ghar; two groups working to end violence against women and girls in Chicago.
