A dinner extravaganza to chase away the winter blues
New Morning Natural and Organic in Woodbury invites you to a popular chocolate gala. Come celebrate with friends, the 6th annual benefit dinner held at the Heritage Hotel in Southbury. The annual event supports the enriching programs offered at the Audubon Center at Bent of the River in Southbury. The 660-acre outdoor sanctuary, situated along the banks of the Pomperaug River, boasts 15 miles of walking trails, as well as an environmental education center for all ages.
Host Charlie Morgan, Editor of CT Magazine, music by the rocking Zydecats, three Connecticut Vineyards, and two Chocolatiers provide a captivating ambience for dinner. Guests will feast on “Inspired Creole Cuisine with Dark Chocolate and Accents of the Caribbean” created by Executive Chef Carol Bayer-Alcorace of New Morning Natural and Organic.
Local farms and producers
The menu features dark chocolate in every form imaginable from Crayfish Etoufee in Phyllo cups to Chunky Chicken Gumbo, and All Fools Chocolate Cake. Taste the difference local products make-veggies from Fort Hill Farm in New Milford, pork from Rowland Farm in Oxford, eggs from Soffer Farms in Branford, milk from Arethusa Farm Litchfield, herbs from Castle Rock in Bethlehem and Wave Hill bread from Wilton.
