Another week of “The Bachelor” has come to a close. The series, which airs on Channel 15 in Tempe, has reached the point where only three women remain following the hometown dates. Yes, one more woman went home, and Chris Harrison, host of the series has his own thoughts on why Brad Womack sent home funeral director Shawntel Nelson after visiting her home in Chico, Calif.
Chris Harrison might not have been physically seen much on this week’s episode, but he sees all that goes on the series. He sees the events on camera, and he sees everything that happens behind the scenes on both sides. This puts him in the know. On Chris Harrison’s Entertainment Weekly blog this week, he said the following about why he thinks Brad sent Shawntel home:
“The conversation Brad had with Shawntel’s father, who expressed his concern about his daughter leaving the city and thus abandoning the family business, definitely weighed on Brad’s mind the entire week. Yes, in the end her dad did say he wished them well and gave them his blessing, but that moment and that pressure of taking her away hung over the date and probably played a factor in Brad’s final decision.”
Combine that one conversation, and the fact Brad wasn’t feeling as much as Shawntel did, and he had to send her home this week. Did he make the right decision? Is one of the three remaining women the one for him? Viewers will have to find out in the weeks ahead.
Watch “The Bachelor” on ABC Channel 15 at 7 p.m. on Monday nights in Tempe.
