These programs and cuts were provided by the Congressional Committee on Appropriations.

Many of these cuts were taken from items in President Obama’s proposed budget for 2011, and they provide a start to the necessary reduction of our $1.5 Trillion deficit.

$74 Billion is a good start for Congress to trim from the budget, but Americans will need to see numbers well over $500 Billion before actual change to our deficit and debt can take place.
