Commercial title: Adam & Eve
When Stephen Shuster rolled into Los Angeles eight years ago to pursue a career in the movies, he says his entrepreneurial passion to learn the business has given him opportunites to create everything from visual effects to graphic design. His Adam & Eve entry into the Crash the Super Bowl contest is another stepping stone in the direction of his passion. Interrupting his wife’s birthday vacation to get his inspiration for the ad down on film in time for the contest, Shuster says winning the prize will mean going back on vacation.
Examiner: What does the term “entrepreneurial filmmaker” mean to you?
Schuster: Being a entrepreneurial filmmaker means excruciatingly hard work. It means sleepless nights. It means being consumed by a drive every day to reach that next milestone. It makes you understand the meaning of hope and trust – in others as well as yourself. In the end it means that it’s all on you.
