Dallas Museum of Art is welcoming author Margaret George this April 6, 2011 as part of their Art and Letters Live series of lectures. Ms. George is coming to Dallas for her book tour promoting her newest release on the famous monarch of England, Elizabeth I (Elizabeth I: A Novel; Viking, April 5, 2011).
Best-selling novelist Margaret George’s previous works include The Memoirs of Cleopatra, The Autobiography of Henry VIII, Mary Called Magdalene, and Helen of Troy.
Audience members are invited to their seats beginning at 7:00 p.m. and the introduction will begin at 7:30 p.m. Ms. George will speak for an hour about her newest work, Elizabeth I, focusing on both historical context and her creative process, with a possible reading from the book if time warrants. The audience will then have a chance to pose questions to the author for about thirty minutes, and finally the book signing will be held between 9:00 and 9:45 p.m. in the Concourse near the Museum Store.

Additionally, the venue is hosting the Distinguished Writers series Award-winning authors read from and discuss their work, respond to questions, and sign books.
