The State of Connecticut’s website asks that the public help monitor the wild bird population in the state by reporting any dead birds found in Connecticut. This is a strategy used by the state to help monitor out breaks of bird flu. The calls are routed to the Connecticut Flu watch site. This is completely unrelated to the events going on around the globe today, but the state does have a well publicized agency that would more than likely be notified if any dead birds were to be found in the State of Connecticut. Luckily, none of these events have taken place in the nutmeg state.
