The Disney Cruise Lines brand offers family cruisers the best of both Florida worlds. Many who come to Florida for the state’s enticing beaches, weather and the magic of Disney, will get all of that and the cruising experience aboard the Line’s new, third fleet ship called the Disney Dream. Officially christened last Friday in Port Canaveral, Florida, the Disney Dream will feature all of the Disney-branded experiences its two earlier ships (Magic and Wonder) offered family cruisers, with a culinary lineup for every palate.
The Disney Dream, which will sail on 3, 4 and 5-night Bahamas cruises, will offer passengers a unique cruising experience, with public area designs that celebrate the golden era of 20th century cruising and dining options that will please palettes of all ages.
With a dash of Disney magic, Disney Dream will feature six different culinary experiences. The Animator’s Palate, located Aft on Deck 3, will serve dinner featuring a unique dinner show featuring favorite Disney characters. Families can also enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in two main dining rooms. The Enchanted Garden, located midship on Deck 2, will magically transform day to night during the dining experience and The Royal Palace, located midship on Deck 3, will feature a decor inspired by classic Disney films like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Cabanas, an indoor-outdoor casual café aft on Deck 11 will serve breakfast and lunch.
Mom and Dad can also enjoy a more luxurious, adult culinary experience at fine dining restaurants highlighting northern Italian – Palo’s – and French – Remy’s. Located on Deck 12, Remy’s will offer the most romantic dining experience onboard inspired by the finest French cuisine. Disney tapped the talents of Chef Arnaud Lallement of l’Assiette Champenoise, who has been getting much acclaim for his Michelin two-star restaurant just outside of Reims, in France’s Champagne region and Chef Scott Hunnel, from the award-winning (AAA Five Diamond) Victoria & Albert’s at Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian resort. Expect impressive dishes liked smoked bison with fennel salad and Honeywell oranges and market fresh asparagus with black truffles and vin jaune. Also located on Deck 12, Palo’s will offer sweeping, romantic ocean views with the finest dishes and wines of northern Italy.
