Elizabeth Marlene Ennen, 15, disappeared Jan. 5, after babysitting for close friends, and, according to news reports and a Facebook page set up for her missing daughter, her mother is begging for police and the public to help find her.
The Center for Missing and Exploited Children has classified Elizabeth’s case an “endangered runaway.”
Elizabeth was reportedly babysitting for the night of Jan. 5 and was caring for the children at the Carriage House Motel. The people she babysat for dropped her off at home in the early hours of the morning around 1:30 a.m. No one has seen or heard from Elizabeth since.
Elizabeth’s family says she did not have her purse, cell phone, medication, coat, or any other personal belongings with her.
Elizabeth’s relatives, including her mother, Virginia Ennen, cousins, and aunt, are all pleading for help in finding Elizabeth. They have indicated they believe Elizabeth may have met with foul play.

In a phone conversation with Lubbock Police Lieutenant Roger Cox late Thursday afternoon, he told this author that he would review what, if anything, was being done in Elizabeth’s case.
Upon hearing of the circumstances surrounding Elizabeth’s disappearance – that she was babysitting at the Carriage House Motel, dropped off at her home around 1:30 a.m., forgot her purse in the car, and when the people she was babysitting for went to her home to return her purse, they learned she’d never made it inside – Lt. Cox said, “It sounds suspicious to me.”
He said his department has about 45 new runaways, and that he believes Elizabeth’s case, too, was classified as a runaway.
Lt. Cox said he would review the case and call back on Friday, at which time glowbass.com will provide an update.
