U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is rushing off to Pakistan less than one month after the Pakistan military-controlled infamous Inter-Services Intelligence spy service through one of its moles launched a death threat against the CIA station chief based in Islamabad; the CIA chief fled Pakistan.
Biden’s message to Islamabad in all earnest must be three simple words: enough is enough.
Pakistan military, led by Punjabi generals, is a rogue military and its generals are organized criminals who have committed crimes against humanity in Bangladesh and Balochistan, a Baloch group based in Washington DC area said. These generals also maintain strong links with pan Islamist terror networks and have routinely killed democratic Pakistani leaders including premiers Z.A. Bhutto and his daughter Benazir Bhutto and Balochistan statesman Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.
“We urge Vice President Biden to open talks with Balochistan leadership and tell Islamabad in no uncertain terms to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Balochistan,” the premier pro-independence American Friends of Balochistan said in a statement on Monday.
“Biden must tell Islamabad to free Aasia Bibi, 45, a Christian woman of five kids who has been falsely accused of blasphemy,” the A.F.B. statement said. “If not Christian voters in the U.S. would be justified in questioning the performance of the Obama administration.”
Biden should also ask Pakistan military and Frontier Corps to immediately withdraw from Balochistan and respect the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Balochistan and call for Pakistan to respect the right to self-determination, leading to statehood, of the Baloch people.
Biden and officials at the State Department must make a note that Punjabi generals have no right to represent Balochistan, the A.F.B. said and expressed concerns over Pakistan military plans to build a military academy right in the heart of Baloch country in Sui. “This violates the rights of the indigenous Bugti tribesmen which is represented by young political hero Brahumdagh Bugti, 29,” the A.F.B. added.
The Baloch organization said Biden can do great service to the United States and the world if he takes a laundry list to Pakistan and asks Islamabad to hand over the terrorists Osama bin Laden, the former “Tim Osama” of the Afghan jihad days under President Ronald Reagan, Taliban leader Mullah Omar, Bombay terror mastermind Dawood Ebrahim, Pakistan’s former I.S.I. chief Hamid Gul and nuclear wizard Abdul Qadeer Khan.
U.S. administration officials have been taken for a ride by Pakistan generals ever since the 911 attacks, the A.F.B. deplored.
In fact the killing of Punjab governor Salman Taseer appears to be timed to thwart the U.S. actions against al Qaeda, the A.F.B. said.
Biden is one of the few U.S. politicians who have an insight on the machinations of the Inter-Services Intelligence, the A.F.B. said.
