Even though it is relatively early in the season, the Fife Trojans (3-3 league, 7-5 overall) have sustained some damage to their armor, creating some uncertainty as to which direction the season will lead and leaving supporters holding their unabated breath, hoping the other shoe won’t drop, forcing Fife to fall deeper in the standings of the SPLA 2A . The SPSL 2A league continues to shift, with an impressive win by the Eatonville Cruisers (4-2, 9-3) outlasting the senior-led, athletic run-and-gun Franklin Pierce Cardinals (4-2, 5-6) 60-55, putting the Cruisers in a 3-way tie for second place with the Cardinals and the White River Hornets (4-2, 4-7). The Trojans have always shown their resilience, and on Jan. 18, they will have the chance to put their solid leadership and heart to work to change the course of their rather dismal season in just one game.
