The ballerina dresses currently gracing store fronts are beautiful reminders that the season is upon us. Opening Night Gala January 26th is in fact right around the corner. Tory Burch on Maiden Lane hosted this years, San Francisco Ballet ENCORE! Gala Launch party.
In keeping with the theme of the gala night performance La Belle Èpoque, the intimate gathering brought out ENCORE! elite, Robin Farmanfarmaian, Niki Lowry, Jane Burkhard, Kristen Marsh, Liz Brusca, Karena Akhavein and many others. Committee Chair, Anjelika Deogirikar was there celebrating a birthday. Tory Burch savings, special for the event and a tote bag give away made even non-birthday wishes come true.

For a deeper connection, uncover the emotions and stories behind the performances. Since taking the helm 25 years ago Artistic Director, Helgi Tomasson has built the reputation of the San Francisco Ballet to world proportions. This season’s new production of George Balanchine’s Coppélia is especially poignant for him, having performed the role of Franz in the original. The San Francisco Ballet’s rich history is further amplified this season with two world premieres by international Choreographer, Christopher Wheeldon and San Francisco’s Resident Choreographer, Yuri Possokhov.

7pm: Champagne Promenade in the War Memorial Opera House
8pm: San Francisco Ballet performance in the War Memorial Opera House
Following the show: post-performance party with live music, dancing, refreshments, and desserts in City Hall
