State Of The Arts, the highly anticipated full length debut from Trackademicks, is finally upon us. The acclaimed Alameda producer and Honor Roll member finally took a break from creating hot tracks for Wale, E-40, Janelle Monae and countless others to craft his own masterpiece, which officially drops Tuesday, January 25th. With honey sweet synths and drums that slap, State Of The Arts is happiness on record.
While Trackademicks has made a name for himself as one of the most in demand producers in the nation, State Of The Arts finds him on the mic as well as behind the mixing board. His lyrical flow floats gracefully over his signature brand of electro souled out hip-hop beats.
In addition to Trackademicks’ producing prowess, State Of The Arts also boasts guest features from his Honor Roll comrades, Goapele, Kid Sister, and Phonte of Little Brother/The Foreign Exchange. R&B songstress Teedra Moses also lends her soulful talents to the melodic “Face the Music,” the album’s closer.
In a musical climate where Bay Area rappers and hip-hop tend to stay local, State Of The Arts goes beyond the hyphy movement and is poised for mass appeal.
Can’t wait until Tuesday? Preview State Of The Arts here.
