Next month Kaos Studios will be bringing the war to Americans backyard in their latest project Homefront. Kaos Studios are no strangers to the FPS genre with Frontlines Fuels of War under their belt. So we can definitely expect some out of the box thinking on this new title. The story line in this title will have a proud United States plummet into economical, political, and military disaster. While North Korea rises unifying its once broken country and absorbing a few others in the process. As the new Unified Korea spreads across the Globe things only get worse for Americans. The game will put players around the year 2027 as a American freedom fighter after the Korean occupation. Using some standard military and crude improvised weapons the player will be fighting a very large well armed korean force. Honestly some gamers wouldn’t have it any other way. Players will also get to play with some advanced military toys like an remote controlled unmanned ground assault vehicle.
The multiplayer is where it looks Kaos is trying to make its mark. Online players will be fighting in a very familiar place american suburbia before the american military is scattered. The game will be supporting 32 player matches pitting Marines vs Korean Infantry. Players will have to capture certain parts of the map, when one team controls all the points a new part of the map will open pushing the opposing team back. Players individually will be able to earn points during the match for performing certain actions like kills and capturing points. These points then can be used to purchase upgraded equipment. Players will also have a large array of vehicles to chose from, anywhere from attack helicopters to tanks to unmanned drones. Xbox live players will have access to an exclusive map called “Suburbs”.
