John Cena responded tonight on WWE Monday Night Raw to the controversial insults The Rock made at John Cena’s expense last week on Raw.
“I wasn’t talking trash, I was talking truth,” Cena said, lambasting the Rock and his failed exploits in such movies as “Tooth Fairy.”
Ridiculing the Rock’s seven year departure, Cena said the Rock may say he loves the WWE Universe but Cena is at least “there to show it” every week.

Promising the Rock that he would kiss – not kick – Cena’s candy ass at WrestleMania, The Rock was clearly called out on WWE Raw tonight, the inevitable consequence of which will be a face to face showdown between John Cena and The Rock.
But what remains unclear to the WWE Universe is whether or not the Rock will actually wrestle one last match in this teased feud with John Cena.
According to many WWE fans, the Rock’s return to the squared circle is both exhilarating and frustrating, as it isn’t yet clear what the Rock meant when he stated Monday that he “will never leave.”

The nagging question surrounding “one last match” is making some WWE fans pull out their hair this week, as the WWE Universe collectively holds its breath in anticipation of the next Rock appearance. At this time, however, despite the brewing bad blood between The Rock and John Cena, it doesn’t appear that Johnson will return to active in-ring competition.
Indeed, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has not only achieved contemporary box office superstar status, he’s done so with the traditional albatross of “former pro wrestler” around his neck. Just three short weeks ago, the Rock addressed for the first time – and at length – his true feelings with regard to his WWE past and future. And, unfortunately for the WWE Universe,it would appear that the WWE legend has effectively closed the door on the now-looming prospect of “one last match”

“To the Rock’s millions and millions…who will forever be my family,” Johnson began in a post on his Facebook page. “My honest and direct answer to you is this: I left the WWE because I had succeeded in accomplishing every goal I set to achieve.”
Dwayne Johnson, who hasn’t wrestled in WWE in nearly eight years, candidly answered the burning question of whether he will ever come back to the WWE – a prospect that became reality only two nights ago.
* WWE PLANNING IN RING SEGMENT WITH THE ROCK AND STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN
Of course I will..not a match though, but in a capacity that would allow me to do so much more.. I LOVE that company and the fans…without the two I would not be standing where I am today…
In the post, Dwayne Johnson effectively confirmed the suspicion many have possessed about the former WWE superstar – that he clearly prefers Hollywood to wrestling. Although this preference is certainly one Johnson is entitled to have, many WWE fans feel “burned” by Johnson’s decision to not wrestle.
Of course, as they say in the world of sports entertainment, anything is possible. And the Rock’s return to WWE last Monday may effectively void any previous comments made, especially in light of the overwhelming reaction by the WWE Universe to the Rock’s unexpected WWE comeback.
