BLT Steak Atlanta is serving up a cooking class and wine pairing that isn’t to be missed. Step inside the kitchen at BLT Steak on Saturday, January 22, as chef de cuisine Jean-Luc Mongodin hosts the downtown steakhouse’s inaugural interactive cooking and wine pairing class.
From 2 to 4 p.m., Mongodin will lead the group through the preparation and plating of three signature dishes, a tuna tartare with avocado and soy-lime dressing appetizer, and the acacia honey marinated Alaskan black cod and 14 oz. rib eye entrées.
Incorporating the high quality products along with Southern and French inspiration, BLT Steak’s cooking class will be complemented by a wine tasting and instruction course. Guests will sample three classic French wine varietals: a white Burgundy, red Burgundy and red Bordeaux from the 2005 vintage, paired by sommelier Dorine Buche and Mongodin with each dish.
Seats for the cooking class are $45 per person.Maximum capacity is 20 guests. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 404-577-7601.
