Taylor had seven husbands and was married eight times. She married English actor Richard Burton twice. Taylor’s husbands included: Nicky Hilton, Michael Wilding, Mike Todd, Eddie Fisher, Richard Burton, John Warner and Larry Fortensky. Taylor was divorced seven time times and widowed one time. Her third husband, Mike Todd, died in an airplane crash.
Taylor’s marriage to Eddie Fisher scandalized the nation because she stole the husband of best friend, Debbie Reynolds. Tayllor’s romance with her best friend’s husband began after Mike Todd died.
Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor had a tempestuous relationship. The couple married and divorced twice. Taylor won an Academy Award for a movie she made with Burton, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf (1966). Taylor and Burton also starred together in the expensive epic film Cleopatra, The Sandpipers (1965) and The VIPs (1963).
