Miley Cyrus appeared as her Disney alter ego “Hannah Montana” for the final time.The series finale of the TV show that is responsible for Miley’s fame came to a close on Sunday night.
Miley Cyrus’ character, Miley Stewart, shocked fans in the preceding episode when she decided to give up “Hannah Montana” and reveal to the world her true identity. Now graduated from high school, Miley was ready to embark on her future at college with best friend Lilly.

However, revealing her true self only sparked more buzz around the famous teen, who was offered the movie role of a lifetime co-starring with Tom Cruise. Miley, deciding to do the movie in Paris, tried to annoy Lilly as a roommate, however Lilly found out Miley’s plan and the best friends argued.
Upon getting some good advice from brother Jackson, Miley ask Lilly to take a year off of college and go to Paris with her. Lilly agreed and the two set off together. However, at the airport, after getting surprised by their boyfriends, Oliver and Jesse, Lilly realized that she was only tagging along on Miley’s dream. Lilly’s dream had always been to go to college. The girls said a tearful goodbye and parted ways.

Miley and father, Robbie Ray, played by Cyrus’ real life dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, set off to Paris as Lilly headed to Stanford. The girls missed each other like crazy of course, and in the end Miley decided to put off her career and attend college with best friend Lilly. The show ended with a montage of photographs from the years of the mega popular Disney series.
Miley Cyrus may no longer be “Hannah Montana,” but her fans will always remember falling in love with the eleven year old girl who always wanted the best of both worlds.
