During the winter many moms are looking for ways to help their children expel all that pent up energy from being indoors. No walks, playgrounds or outdoor games can leave children itching for more, plus being indoor can get boring for everyone. Although so many of us moms read, paint, do craft projects and much more, finding a clean, happy place for your kiddos to run around would be an amazing find, especially during those colder months and through a rainy spring season.
There are many venues around that can help with a kid’s case of cabin fever, but many are so germy and dingy. If you are looking for a bright, clean setting where your tikes can jump around and tire themselves out for naptime (insert heavenly harp music around the word naptime) then look no further. Monkey Joe’s is located in Pottstown and is a very clean environment. They provide a fun, safe and active atmosphere and sanitize all their inflatable surfaces regularly. You can’t keep your little ones away from all the germs that are out and about, but every little bit helps!
Walk-ins are welcome to Monkey Joe’s and when you first step in the door you will notice the difference. The walls are a happy, sunny, bright yellow with cool wall hangings of Monkey Joe, himself. They have wall-to-wall inflatable slides, jumps, and obstacle courses to help your energetic kids stay moving and healthy. The play center is suitable for kids 12-years-old and younger. There is also a Mini Monkey Zone for toddlers to play inside. The area is slightly smaller so that tots aren’t intimidated by big inflatables and if they are still wobbly walkers it is easy to crawl around. Side note: It is also easier for the parent since most likely, you too will be taking your shoes off to join in on your youngster’s adventure.
If your kids are a little older and you don’t have to supervise their every monkey move, there is a Parent Zone that is an adult area that features seating, free high-speed wireless Internet, flat-screen TVs and computer stations.
Lastly, they do have a small snack bar that sells soft pretzels, hot dogs, icy drinks and other sugary fun. If you only go every once in awhile, it can be a nice treat. Monkey Joe’s is also available for birthday parties. So if you want to be a cool mom and have a party in a different, new place, this is a fun alternative.
Last note, if you like to see your children while they are playing, Monkey Joe’s is great for keeping an eye on them. It is not so big that they can get lost in a huge jungle gym of equipment (although there is a time and place for that too).
Most importantly, have fun with your kids and enjoy memory-making with them. Check out the community coupon flyers and clippers that come in the mail, Monkey Joe’s does put coupons in them!
