New York is one exciting sports town again, after learning NBA Star, Carmelo Anthony heads to the Big Apple, in a mega trade deal that rivals, New Jersey Nets lost out on.
The mega swap was a three-way, 12-man trade deal that included Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and of course the New York Knickerbockers, which ended Monday night.
“There is some sadness to the deal, but it’s time to move on,” said Denver Nuggets Coach, George Karl.
Yes, all the hype and “melodrama” is over in New York. It is official! Anthony known to his fans as “Melo,” will play at the “World’s Famous Arena,” and many Knicks fans are scrambling and wondering what number “Melo” will wear on his new uniform.
According to Dime Magazine’s, Aron Phillips, New York Knicks new teammate shall wear number 13 when “Melo” debuts his first game at “The Garden,” when Knicks welcome the Milwaukee Bucks, Wednesday night. (It was confirmed Tuesday evening by the NY Knicks that Anthony will wear #7 Knicks uniform.)
New York Knicks Fans are now relaxed and relieved and already saving up for their new Knicks sports jersey, for this celebrated deal will also make it harder for fans to obtain Knicks tickets.
This joyous trade deal for New Yorkers already has ESPN and many sports channels ask which Eastern Conference team will most-likely represent a championship this NBA season, The Bulls, Magic, Knicks, Celtics or Heat?
