Oksana Grigorieva likes playing games and especially with attorneys. She is up to either 41 or 42 and now the attorney who negotiated a $16 million agreement for her — which she later repudiated — is suing her for non-payment. This is the story of a woman who appears to be more interested in revenge than in the best interest of her daughter. Is it any wonder why Mel Gibson’s estranged wife Robyn is taking sides with her estranged husband, father of their seven children?
Oksana seems determined to keep Mel Gibson away from Baby Lucia and appears tp be spending more time in the legal limelight than settling in to be the mother she claims she wants to be. Now in a Radaronline exclusive we learn this today:
Oksana Grigorieva told her lawyer she planned to walk away from a multi-million dollar settlement and see “where the chips might fall” in court unless her former lover Mel Gibson was stripped of some of his custodial rights over their baby daughter Lucia, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned. . . .
In sensational new evidence, RadarOnline.com has obtained correspondence Grigorieva, 40, sent Eric George, the son of California’s former chief justice, as the latter duked it out with Gibson’s camp during the height of negotiations to keep the case secret.
“If the opposition is buying my silence, please, we have to renogitiate (sic) the castody (sic) portion and to secure the monetory (sic),” Grigorieva wrote to George, on June 2, last year. . . .
“Grigorieva’s missive to George was sent 17 days after he and his firm negotiated a $15 million hush deal, which she signed, but ultimately reneged on, as we first revealed.
“George is now suing Grigorieva for his slice of the settlement, 10 percent, accusing her of disavowing the agreement.”
There seems to be more and more secret emails floating around as I reported on February 18th.
The news from an investigation by the Los Angeles Times is both touching and explosive. It seems that while lawyers for the dueling duo were duking it out, Mel Gibson and his former mistress Oksana Grigorieva were secretly texting each other. It is being interpreted as both a reconciliation attempt on Gibson’s part and veiled extortion from Oksana:
The documents describe a period in which the former lovers discussed reconciliation even as their lawyers sparred over the details of a settlement that would include destruction of the tapes.
“You don’t call. You don’t accept my invitation to come. You hand tapes around & jeopardize us all,” Gibson texted the same day his lawyers proposed a deal they valued at $18 million.
She replied that Gibson had promised to care for her and their daughter “in the most generous way.”
“I wouldn’t have played ur messages if u were keeping ur word,” she wrote.
Last May, they reached a $16-million agreement. Grigorieva subsequently repudiated it, saying she had signed under duress. The case is now in family court, where the judge has urged the sides not to speak publicly after months of leaks from the sealed case to gossip sites. Attorneys contacted by The Times declined to comment or did not return calls. Los Angeles Times
Reconciliation in the best interest of the child
Mel Gibson appears to be a loving dad and it did not seem unusual — given descriptions by his estranged wife Robyn — that he might attempt to reconcile for the sake of Baby Lucia. See related articles on Gibson and his daughter.
