True Dungeon is designing new full-color cardstock player character cards for 2011. They will be the same size (half sheet), double-sided with one side being the 4th level character and the other side being the 5th level version. (Being 5th level is possible with certain magic.) Players will use round metal sliders on the side of the card to track hit points. These cards will be yours to take home after your adventure as a souvenir.
Details of the 2010 Token Program — New Lower Price!
Pre-orders end January 15th for the new 2011 Treasure Token collection. The tokens should ship out by February 1st via 2-3 day USPS Priority Mail. Each treasure token kit comes with 10 random tokens which include 7 Common, 2 Uncommon, and 1 Rare token. One out of a hundred 10-packs will include an Ultra Rare token in place of a Common token. True Dungeon has reduced the price of their standard random 10-pack of tokens from a previous $10.00 (price since 2003) to $7.99! They are the same exact material and quality as before. However, True Dungeon also eliminated the “20% free bonus” from orders over $95, so this new price makes tokens MUCH cheaper for gamers buying a few 10-packs, and a little cheaper for the big buyers.
They are randomly inserting 24 special Golden Ticket tokens into the 2011 token collection. Instead of a Common token, you get one of these uber-cool tokens in your 10-pack. Unlike in previous years, the bearer of this special token should present it inside Ballroom 7 at 6:30pm on Thursday, August 4th. There will be a special dinner immediately following, and then their special adventure will start at 8:00pm. You will also get a host of extra goodies which include a completely awesome pack of uber-rare and powerful tokens and an exclusive GT-only surprise inside your True Dungeon adventure. Note that the odds of getting one of these tokens is slightly worse than finding one last year. This is due to the expansion of the number of tokens printed.
Gen Con Ticket Draw
Just before tickets go on sale online for all the True Dungeon events at Gen Con Indy, True Dungeon will hold a special drawing from all the 2011 token buyers. Ten lucky token buyers will win, and each can “pre-buy” up to 8 tickets before anyone else! For every 10-pack you buy, you get to put your name in the hat, and each winner will have the chance to “pre-buy” a full 8-ticket slot of tickets BEFORE they go on sale to anyone else! This means that you are guaranteed to get the exact slot you wish without having to worry about the crazy time during event registration. You still have to buy the tickets at the normal price. NOTE: The more tokens you buy, the greater your chance of winning!
Possessing more than one Ultra Rare token can give your character some added benefits. Three notable set powers are in play this year involving the five “Might” magic items:
- Crown of Might (2009)
- Orb of Might (2010)*
- Scepter of Might (2011)*
- Boots of Might (2011)*
- Girdle of Might (2011)*
*Available this year as one of your Ultra Rare selections with every $250 purchase.
- “Trio of Might“: Equipping with any three of the above tokens makes your character 5th level (instead of 4th level) for the dungeon. Being 5th level gets your character more hit points, powers and 3rd level spells if your character is a spell caster.
- “Quartet of Might“: Equipping with any four of the above tokens makes your character 5th level (instead of 4th level) for the dungeon, and your character gains +2 to melee damage.
- “Quintet of Might“: Equipping with all five of the above tokens makes your character 5th level (instead of 4th level) for the dungeon, and your character gains +4 to melee damage.

Some big token collectors don’t want to spend a lot of time opening up lots of standard 10-packs of tokens. They asked if True Dungeon could make a “condensed” version available that would look like what a 120 10-packs would look like AFTER a bunch of the Common tokens were turned in for Trade tokens. This Condensed pack saves collectors the hassle of opening up all those 10-packs, sorting them, and then sending them off to trade for Trade tokens. Instead of getting 120 random 10-packs, you get this when you buy a Condensed pack:
- (4) Pick Your Own 2010 or 2011 Ultra Rare tokens
- (1) random Ultra Rare PLUS a 20% chance of ANOTHER random Ultra Rare token to appear in your random Rare token bag
- 120 Random Rare tokens
- 240 Random Uncommon tokens
- 21 Nixie Mead Tokens (Common)
- 3 Treasure Map (Rare): to make up for 21 Pieces of Treasure Map (Common)
- 4 Minotaur Hide (Trade token)
- 7 Dwarven Steel (Trade token)
- 5 Darkwood Planks (Trade token)
- 4 Alchemist’s Parchment (Trade token)
- 2 Bolt of Silk (Trade token)
- 1 Alchemist’s Ink (Trade token)
- 2,000 GP
- (1) punch-card that has the five Common ingredient tokens on it with 20 punch outs. These are used to create Combo items.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Your chance of winning a Golden Ticket token with a condensed pack is the exact same chance as buying 120 10-packs. There is no difference between Condensed and normal packs with respect to the chances of winning a Golden Ticket. If you do win one inside your Condensed pack, it will appear in your Rare group of 120 tokens…along with any random Ultra Rare tokens, too.
This offer of “condensed” packs ends Jan. 15th, 2011— along with the pre-order period. True Dungeon may sell out of Condensed packs before this date, however. After that date only normal, non-condensed 10-packs may be ordered. If you do wish to have some of your order be CONDENSED, please note that in the special note screen while placing your order.

Volunteering is Fun!
True Dungeon can always use some help with making their event happen. If you are interested in being a part of something cool that is put on by some very amazing volunteers, please follow the link below. It will take you to our online sign up form. Once you fill it out, True Dungeon will be in contact with you in a few months.
If you HAVE signed up already for 2011, True Dungeon will be selecting volunteers later this month BEFORE Gen Con hotel reservations are due to start. Everyone who filled out the volunteer form will get an email from True Dungeon by Monday, January 24th, 2011. The only info they will tell you at that time is whether or not you will be full-time, part-time or fill-in. All full-time volunteers qualify for a spot in a 4-person Marriott hotel room. True Dungeon will not have any specific jobs or schedules assigned until before event tickets go on sale.
