Downtown Newark, Delaware is celebrating their fifth annual RESTRAURANT WEEK. It starts January 24thand runs through January 30th. Participating restaurants include: Ali Baba, Mojo Main, Saigon Restaurant, Newark Deli & Bagels, Home Grown Café, Klondike Kates, Santa Fe Mexican Grill, Deer Park Tavern, Buffalo Wild Wings, Pat’s Pizzeria, Claymont Steak Shop, Stone Balloon Wine House, Catherine Rooney’s , Caffe Gelato, Kildare’s Irish Pub, Grotto Pizza, and Cosi.
These restaurants are claiming they can suit any palate or purse.
In the Friends & Family Fun offers: a family of four can eat for $19.00
The Luscious Lunches deal means that you get a 2 course lunch for $10.00
Delightful Dinners offer 2 course dinners $19.00 and 3 course dinners for $25.00
As an example of a Luscious Lunch, Santa Fe Mexican Grill is offering Grandma’s Homemade Chicken Rice Soup as a first course, and two Beef enchiladas as the second course.
A three course dinner at Stone Balloon Wine House might include a first course of Truffled Cauliflower Soup, Winter Harvest Salad as the second course, and Line Caught Cod as a third course with smashed potatoes, French bean salad, and broken egg vinaigrette, herb salad.
You can reach Newark by getting off of Route 95 at the Elkton/Newark exit and going toward Newark. You can follow Kirkwood Highway until it becomes Main Street Newark where the participating restaurants are located. You can take Route 273 which runs directly into Main Street Newark as well.
