Obama is not planning to start his election rebid officially until March or April; however, Rush Limbaugh is warning that the “savaging” of Sarah Palin by the left wing media, recently witnessed in the aftermath of the Tucson tragedy, is a precursor of what any conservative candidate who might be true threat to Obama can expect.
If conservatives play the game nice, the way the left wants them to play, they will choose another milk toast RINO, such a McCain or a Bob Dole style candidate. Then, the treatment won’t be near as harsh or near as brutal, but Rush warns – just try to run a candidate who might actually win, someone with charisma, someone with gumption, someone with true conservative values, and to salvage Obama – that candidate will be brutally, mercilessly savaged.
The left can recognize those candidates who are a true threat – easily enough by conservative response to them, points out Rush – they certainly feel threatened by Sarah Palin, a candidate Rush thinks could beat Obama hands-down.
Rush is warning that conservatives better sit up and take notice, real notice, serious notice of this recent example of watching the left stretch the truth enough to connect the disconnected, from Sarah Palin to the shootings in Arizona with breathtaking falsehoods – and make a decision now to give up the fight forever to have a true conservative candidate or to learn from the left how to “get the car out of the ditch”.
Conservatives should remember this brutal reminder – that the left has no boundaries of decency to hold them back. The left was certain that the right would be so stunned by the mass shootings, so stunned that they would naturally be unaware, frozen in grief, slow to react. And the left, as Rush points out, was right.
Following is a brief transcript of Rush – in a warning that conservatives would do well to heed- :
The Left is terrified of [Sarah Palin]. The Left knows that she would wipe the floor with Obama. Our intelligentsia on the Right-Wing know that she would wipe the floor with Obama. That’s what all of this means. …
The point of this is that if Republicans are going to sit by and watch Palin savaged, they’d better be prepared to sit by and watch the next one get savaged; and the next one because that’s what’s coming.
Nothing will be off-limits to the left. Not marriages, not children, not religions – and the left wing media isn’t waiting for Obama to officially start his campaign. They began January 8th – using the nation’s shock and grief, and the victims of Tucson as sacrificial lambs for their campaign launch .
