Today, SFE has your latest Scream 4 news recap…
Scream Queen Neve Campbell spoke to the UK’s Mirror yesterday, expressing her reservations about the film—and returning to the franchise. “It was fantastic to be back on the Scream films but I’m nervous. I’ve not seen it yet. A few test audiences have, and it seemed to go down well. From what I know it’s more a return to the original. Fine by me.” The notoriously reluctant actress continued, “Making another Scream film wasn’t an easy decision—but I’m pleased I did it. I just hope the fans enjoy it…”
Rest assured, we will—and all the more because you’re in it, Neve…
In other news, the original trilogy is finally making its domestic appearance on Blu-Ray. Scream, Scream 2 and Scream 3 have a list price of $19.99 each but are currently available for pre-order through Amazon.com at a discounted rate of $13.99. No word yet on a release date, but you can expect the discs to hit store shelves before Scream 4 debuts on April 15. (Thanks to our friends at Scream-Trilogy.net for the tip-off…)
Also set for release is a new book chronicling the life and (cinematic) crimes of director Wes Craven. Written by John Wooley, Wes Craven: The Man and His Nightmares will be published by Wiley on March 15.
From the publisher:

His masterful examination of the nightmarish nexus of dreams and reality helped spark a career that has spanned close to forty years.
