It’s a sad day for fans of “Seinfeld” around the world, as we have lost one of the most popular supporting characters from the landmark TV series. According to multiple reports, actor Len Lesser passed away Wednesday morning due to complications from pneumonia. He was 88 years old.
In addition to his memorable role as “Uncle Leo” on the NBC show, Lesser also had a recurring spot for many years on “Everybody Loves Raymond.” He worked hundreds of film, TV, and theatre-related jobs over the course of his career — even though he may be always known for shouting with Jerry and his friends George and Elaine.
Lesser’s most recent TV appearance came as a “neighboy” on ABC’s “Castle.”
What was your favorite “Uncle Leo” moment? Lesser will be missed, and condolences go out to those who knew him.
