Liberty Mountain Resort has been a destination for skiers all over ever since its establishment in the 1960s. Along with two other resorts, Whitetail Ski Resort and Ski Roundtop, Liberty Resort offers visitors a wealth of opportunities and various interests. Ski Liberty was bought by Snow Time Inc., in the 1970s and has experienced continued success ever since.
You don’t have to be an expert skier, or a skier at all to have a good time at Liberty. Though 100 acres are designated for skiing, other popular activities include snowboarding, snow-tubing and inside activities. Snowsports schools, training centers and other assistance amenities can be found throughout the resort. Experience levels, and courses based on difficulty, range from Novice trails such as: Nova, Sneaky Pete, Dipsy Doodle, First Class Area, Lower Blue Streak, Snow Cat Alley; more difficult trails like: Upper Heavenly, Lower Heavenly, Whitney’s Way, Lower Ultra, Lower Eastwind, Sidewinder, Lower Strata, and the most difficult trails including: West Side Park, Half Pipe, Upper Ultra, Upper Eastwind, Upper Strata, Adventure Alley, White Lightning, Upper Blue Streak and Vertigo Park. There are five quad lifts, one J-bar lift and three carpet lifts.
Indoors, at Ski Liberty Resort, you will find a full-service sports shop, billiard tables, exercise facilities, night club cards and much more. Food options include McKee’s Tavern, a Starbucks in two locations, Sneaky’s Pizza Parlor and even a food court. For those who wish to make the daytrip last longer than a day, there are plenty of overnight lodging options that exist at Liberty.
The resort is also host to the 18-hole champion Carroll Valley golf course, which has been a part of Ski Liberty since May of 2010. Other popular activity pursuits for visitors include: playing horseshoes and volleyball, hiking trails and much more.
