I love Rock ‘N Roll, hey it’s a big part of LA’s culture. I’m a R&R baby who loves listening to the oldies when I’m tooling around town in my Z4.
I also sat up and took notice when Seattle Hotel recently went creative with a Rock ‘n Roll Romance Package that caters to lovers of the genre and well lovers in general.
The deal’s at the spiffy Edgewater Hotel, an iconic Seattle landmark where rock stars used to take over the lobby lounge, which was called Seattle’s Living Room thanks to its host of stars such as the Beattles, KISS, Led Zepplin, the Village People and others.
So with this Rock ‘N Roll deal the hotel says that guest get to be treated like stars with a velvet rope intimate dinner at Six Seven Restaurant, tickets to Experience Music Project, a Beattles coffee table book and a map of nearby music hot spots. It’s good now through October 1, 2011 and starts at $689 a night. e

Experience Music Project (EMP). The EMP is a one-of-kind interactive music exhibit encompassing cutting edge technology with the essence of rock n’ roll. Exhibitions at EMP explore the roots of rock n’ roll through rare memorabilia, artifacts, music and stories as told by the musicians themselves.
Seattle is full of sounds, whether it be the remnants of music legends and street musicians or the sounds of coffee grinders, guests can experience all the nearby music hot spots of Seattle within walking distance from The Edgewater, or enjoy entertainment in Six Seven Lounge.
Beatle mania lives on at The Edgewater hotel. Back in 1964, during the ‘Fab Four’s first world tour, the Beatles stayed at The Edgewater and ‘fished’ out their window into Elliott Bay below. The hotel immortalized the stay by turning their room into The Beatles Suite. This 700 square foot suite features rare photographs, memorabilia, history, music of the Beatles and breathtaking views.
The Edgewater, sits atop Elliott Bay, and provides the quintessential Northwest experience with panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains and the Seattle skyline. All rooms feature hand crafted pine furniture, custom bedding and even a gas fireplace.
Seattle’s just about a 3 hour flight from LAX or Bob Hope airports. Southwest and Virgin America offer some of the best fares to the area.
