The first day of the Ken Ham, founder of answersingenesis.org, the Not Ashamed Conference ended Sunday evening, Jan. 16 with guest academic Dr. Gary Parker, a well-known scientist, in his lecture, Genes to Genesis. The conference is held at Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W. 87th St Pkwy Lenexa, Kan. from Jan. 16-17 and has drawn visitors from as far away as Iowa and Oklahoma.
Parker explained to the visitors how he was formerly an enthusiastic Evolutionist believer until he found Christianity and realized Evolution was based on belief not fact. He said that there has been more and more evidence to prove the history found in the Bible in the book of Genesis than there is scientific evidence to prove Evolution.
One example Parker gave the visitors was the fact of Melanin, a protein in the skin that makes color pigmentation. This protein can be affected by an individual’s parentage and color pigmentation. For example, if two individuals with an AABB pigmentation married, it would be very likely that there children would also be a version of AABB.
Parker said that it was more than likely, based on the pigmentation of the world that the biblical Adam and Eve, first man and woman as referred to in the Bible, both had medium pigmentation. This would enable them to produce any number of different pigmentation colors from AABB, very dark, to aabb, very light.
“There is only one race,” Parker said. “The human race.”
According to Parker, this is a good time to remember this during the Martin Luther King, Jr. commemoration.
Parker said that before Charles Darwin’s book, Origin of the Species, was released in 1859 only the human race was ever considered. According to the article Are There Really Different Races?, “Darwinian evolution was (and still is) inherently a racist philosophy, teaching that different groups or ‘races’ of people evolved at different times and rates, so some groups are more like their apelike ancestors than others.”
Parker said that a perfect example of the Melanin pigmentation can be found in the Singerl twin girls born May 2006 in Australia. Their mother was of Jamaican-English descent and their father was of German descent. From this one girl was born with dark pigmentation and the other with white. In the article It’s Not Just Black & White show this similarity occurring multiple times.
“It is like when you have a deck of cards,” Parker said. “(You can have a proliferation) number of hands and all from the same deck of cards.”
According to the film, Mysterious Islands, where Creationist scientists visit the Galapagos Islands on the anniversary of Darwin’s 200th birthday, the belief of Evolutionism introduced one of the more violent centuries in the history of the world. Belief in a master race and survival of the fittest created monsters such as Nazism and other unconscionable acts.
Parker stated that most people who believe in Evolution believe that there is only 1) Time, 2) Chance, 3) Struggle, and 4) Death. He said that Evolution is based on belief-only and is nothing more than humanism dressed up in a lab coat. The goal of Evolution is to convince everyone there is no God.
Parker said that there are a multiple number of genes in any one kind of animals that can produce variation of the species, however, there is no evidence to show a new kind that forms or evolves from one species to another.
“Science is not the enemy of the Christian faith,” Parker said. “Real science is an ally to Christian faith.”
Ken Ham and Parker will conclude the two-day conference at Lenexa Baptist Church in the evening of Jan. 17 with lectures on Learning How to Defend the Christian Faith in Today’s World (Ham) and Geology and Genesis (Parker).
