The Eleventh Hour Rescue, located on Route 10 in Rockaway, is hosting one of it’s three top fundraisers this Tuesday, May 24th at the Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg, New Jersey.
“We want golfers to come ($225 per golfer), we want sponsors to pay for signage throughout the event,” says Roger Keyser, Eleventh Hour Rescue volunteer and marketer, “If you just want a fancy dinner, it’s $75 per person, including an open bar.”
Not a golfer? As an alternate, a spa day, also $225 per person, has been set up at the Crystal Springs Resort.
EHR is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization. Volunteers give all of their time and efforts into creating a “homely life” to the dogs who are rescued and currently reside at the shelter. Every penny earned at fundraising events goes towards the dogs; giving them a life they could only dream of. The money pays for food, medical care, toys, blankets, beds and the like. The 4th Annual Dog Day Afternoon Golf Outing at the Wild Turkey Golf Course and Reflection Spa at the Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg, supports the efforts these volunteers make every day.
Registration and lunch starts at eleven in the morning, followed by the shotgun start and the spa treatments at one o’clock in the afternoon, then dinner, cocktails, awards, silent auction and a raffle starting at six in the evening.
For golfers, whether you’re beginners, professionals, or between the two, Eleventh Hour Rescue looks forward for you, your family, friends, co-workers and friendly strangers to come out and support a woman and man’s best friend and help them find permanent homes.
Awards given to golfers during dinner and cocktails will be awarded in five categories: (1) longest drive, (2) closest to the pin, (3) straightest drive, (4) putting contest, and (5) hole in one.
Golfers (per person) pay $225, which includes golf, lunch, cocktails, dinner, awards, raffle and auction. Those who wish to dine with class, pay $75 for cocktails, dinner, raffle and auction. And for those who aren’t interested in golfing, but would love dinner and relaxation, pay $225 for the spa package, which includes lunch, massage or facial, day pass to Biosphere pool, gratuities, dinner, raffle and auction. For information regarding the spa package, from Reflections, please visit http://www.crystalgolfresort.com/Spas/RefelctionsSpa.aspx.
There is also a $200 fee for an Earlybird Special that any guest would like to indulge in. This special must be paid no later than Tuesday, May 24th.
Fact: Since 2004, Eleventh Hour Rescue has rescued more than 3,000 dogs. Every year, EHR saves as many dogs as they can from euthanasia. They provide shelter, walks, play-time, care (general) and ‘tlc’, food, and medical care for every dog that crosses their path. EHR can only continue to save the lives of our best friends through our help and generosity.
