Isn’t there something fun about seeing Twilight stars hit TV every now and again – whether it be for an awards show or a guest stint on a regular series? Some Twilight series castmates are lucky enough to make a regular gig of it, like Rachelle Lefevre is with Off The Map, Peter Facinelli with Nurse Jackie, or Jamie Campbell Bower with Camelot. Others have recurring, but not regular roles – i.e., Elizabeth Reaser and The Good Wife.
In most cases, though, the cast tends to make one-time appearances (recently, Jackson Rathbone in No Ordinary Family and Michael Welch on Criminal Minds) in on-going programs.
At least two Twilight castmates are planning to continue the latter tradition.
Michael Welch (“Mike Newton” in the Saga) has revealed he will be appearing on a forthcoming episode of Bones very soon.
I’m going to be working on an upcoming episode of Bones with the lovely Emily Deschanel and the majestic Aurora Boreanaz. The Executive Producers and Creators of Bones are Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan, 2 former writers of… you guessed it… Joan of Arcadia! I’ll let you know when Bones is gonna air. Probably in about 2 months.
Welch’s latest TV appearance prior to this was with Criminal Minds, which stars his former Joan Of Arcadia co-star Joe Mantegna.
Additionally, Justin Chon (“Eric Yorkie”) has just finished filming an episode of House, or so he alerted his followers via Twitter.
im shooting an episode of house today which meant i had to leave my house at 330 this morning oh and i have 102 degree fever life is awesome
No word yet on when Chon’s House episode will air, but there are a couple of other TV updates for the actor as well, including the fact that he’ll be featured in the March 25th episode of Gigantic, a TeenNick TV series. More information on the episode Chon will be appearing in can be found here. Also, he did a guest stint on the pilot episode for the TBS show Glory Daze. You can see him in the full episode video (unembeddable) at Part 2 (around the 6:11 mark) here.
Also of interest? Justin Chon recently did a few episodes of a series called KTown Cowboys – a show meant “to get people to get to know Koreatown, Los Angeles.” Each episode is about 7 minutes long, and the ones which feature Chon are attached, but you can find out more about KTown Cowboys at their website and YouTube page.
Meanwhile, over on the directorial side of things, David Slade has been hard at work on directing his guest episode of Breaking Bad. According to his Twitter page, shooting began (in New Mexico) yesterday. This is Slade’s first post-Eclipse project, and despite rumors to the contrary, he hasn’t locked down any others just yet.
In other news, a TV home for Robert Pattinson‘s film Remember Me has been found in Showtime, the same pay cable station which currently houses Twilight, New Moon, and Nurse Jackie. A fan-spotted TV promo for the show reveals that Remember Me will be hitting Showtime this April. “Tyler Hawkins” is back!
Lastly, a bonus scene from last week’s Twilight-esque episode of Parks And Recreation featuring the Twilight-crazed character was released on Monday, and you can check that out here. It’s hysterical, naturally.
UPDATE: Elizabeth Reaser (“Esme Cullen”) reprised her recurring spot on The Good Wife in last night’s episode, and you can check that out here. Thanks TwiFans!
