Time4learning is an easy to use, interactive, online curriculum that meets national and state educational standards. The program allows students to work at their own pace. Many homeschoolers who try it wonder if the program is really comprehensive as they find that their children get through the lessons so quickly. As a former Time4Learning parent, I can attest that it is complete and comprehensive. Using the program gave my children the opportunity to complete their school work quickly and easily, and still have plenty of time available for personal pursuits.
Bear in mind that it is important to fully use the curriculum to get the maximum benefits. An added bonus to the Time4Learning curriculum is the playground where kids can play educational games. In order to access the playground, they must complete a certain amount of lesson time decided by the parent. Once they are there, the learning continues and the child usually doesn’t even realize it.
Another important aspect of Time4learning is the art program, Time4art. Time4art encourages creativity and bolsters interest in art though fun yet formal lessons. Students learn to do both digital art and art on paper, preparing them for a potential future in creative careers.
The Time4Learning language arts lessons also introduce students to books and literature. It is important to not only read the summaries and background information about the books presented but to also read the books themselves. This helps to flesh out the Time4learning language arts program quite a bit.
Worksheets are another part of the Time4learning curriculum that many people may not be aware of. You will find these resources mostly in the math sections. After finishing a math lesson, you should always print the accompanying worksheet for extra practice of the concept learned in the lesson. Many parents keep a binder with all completed worksheets.
As you can see, Time4learning has a lot to offer if you take advantage of the full site. In addition to what is available through Time4Learning, you can also use Time4Writing, a sister site designed to help your child improve their writing skills through online writing courses led by a certified teacher.
Even with all of the Time4learning components available, you may still find that your child completes their work quickly and easily. To add more bulk to their curriculum, you can supplement what they are learning in science and history by giving them historical fiction novels to read, and movies and documentaries to watch that are in line with their Time4learning lessons.
When your child is using Time4learning for homeschooling, you must remember to give them time to relax and explore their personal interests. Make sure their education is well rounded by allowing them to learn from the world around with trips to the library and museum, and by allowing them to participate in sports and music activities.
